This was originally going to be called “The Pogo” and be mainly an excuse to show Keen doing a bunch of “extreme pogo” tricks — which is an actual thing, just look it up. But at some point I was trying to figure out a way make a comic about Keen’s “sitting down and reading” thing from the game, and realized this would be a great place to fit it in.

So the next question is probably: Where did he pull the book and pogo from? And while I can’t speak to the specifics, I can say that it involved legitimate science somehow, so there’s no need to question it further.
